Rockdale has its cafes and restaurants, but it also has a light industrial area within its borders, which brings in more of the industrial spaces and warehouses that are available for rent. If you’re only looking for a small space, a garage or storage unit could be just the thing you’re looking for. There are also a few commercial buildings and centres in the area, which can be perfect for things such as inventory storage.

The Princes Highway is the main road that goes through the suburb, and it follows the train line. General Holmes Drive also passes through Rockdale, however this road will most likely experience heavy traffic, as it goes past the airport and is a route to other highways, motorways and freeways. There are public transport options if you’re close to the area or if there is an easy route from your place to Rockdale. Rockdale has its own train station, as well as being a major bus interchange for the State Transit buses.
