Canberra University

The university is within the vicinity of train stations, which makes the University of Canberra relatively accessible for students, employees, and staff members. Nearby train stations include the Canberra Railway Station and the Queanbeyan Stations.

Buses

Buses service the university with 18 routes within the Campus’ vicinity. For specific routes, you can take the following guides:

  • If you are in Westfield Wooden and would like to go to the University of Canberra, take bus numbers 313, 319, and 343, which are a 6-minute walk from Callum Street or Hindmarsh Drive.

  • If you are coming from the Canberra Airport, walk to Fairbairn Park Service Road and wait for bus no.11, which will stop at North Canberra. Take another bus that includes 313, 315, 319, and 343; they will take you directly to the University.

If you are coming from the station, bus routes to take follow Bowen Drive, Parkes Way, Casswell Drive, and Haydrive. The trip takes 16 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. From the Queanbeyan station, students can take a 24-minute trip via railway street, Oaks Estate Road in Jerrabomberra, taking a route in Pialligo Avenue, Morshead Rive, Parkes Way, and Haydon Drive near the Bruce suburb to the main campus.

On-Campus and Off-Campus Parking

The university offers paid parking from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. Exceptions are public holidays and the weekends. Parking rates start at $5.00 for 0-2 hours; $10.00 for 6-7 hours; and $11.00 for all day parking. Access to the parking space requires a parking permit, but there is no guarantee of a space. On the other hand, off-campus parking can be found in the campus vicinity such as the College Street, Aikman Drive, Haydon Drive, and areas close to the Bruce suburb.
